  2. The Motion: The swing jaw moves in an elliptical motion against the fixed jaw, driven by an eccentric shaft.

  3. The Crushing Action: Raw material is fed into the top of the chamber. As the swing jaw moves towards the fixed jaw, it compresses the rock against it, breaking it into smaller pieces.

  4. Gravity Discharge: The crushed material continues to move down the chamber towards the bottom. The size of the crushed product is determined by the Closed Side Setting (CSS) – the narrowest gap between the two jaws at the bottom. Smaller CSS produces a finer output.

  5. Repetition: This cycle repeats continuously as new material is fed in, and the crushed product exits at the bottom.
